Provenance

“Walnuts & Carnations” is one of a series of paintings born out of Rod Coyne’s love for still life and the play of light and shadow. The contrasting textures of the subject hold a permanent fascination for Rod Coyne. Here has used hard walnuts and angled wooden blocks to contrast against the delicate petals. The external light source gives a halo-effect to the still life. The original artwork is acrylic paint on paper and measures 40×50 cm (16″x 20″ inches).

This painting is only available unframed. It is signed on the front and carries a date and inscription by the artist on the reverse.
