Provenance

“Avoca Downriver” is one of a series of paintings born out of Rod Coyne’s passion for his home county Wicklow. The Garden of Ireland provides inspiration all year round for this landscape painter. The original artwork is oil on canvas and measures 102 x 76 cm (21”x30” inches) .

It was painted during the making of Rod’s instructional DVD “Secrets of the Palette Knife”. This artwork celebrates the simple joy of escaping to the Wicklow mountains and disappearing into the hypnotizing and meditative creative process.
