Provenance

“Pigeon House Dublin Bay” is one of a series of paintings born out of Rod Coyne’s love for the Dublin Bay and its rich history. The original artwork is oil on canvas and measures 70 x 100 cm (28″ x 30″ inches).

This picture was completed plein air, with a few random distortions added later in the studio for the full Atmospherics effect. It is signed on the front and carries a date and inscription by the artist on the reverse. It was a center piece at Rod Coyne’s break-through solo exhibition, “Atmospherics” in the Dalkey Arts Gallery in 2006. This is when Rod added Formula 1 boss, Eddie Jordan and author Marian Keyes to his list of VIP collectors.
