Provenance

“There’s a place where the waves crash, the tide heaves and the weather rolls in off the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the closest mainland shore to Skellig Michael & Skellig Beag. Ancient monks must have stood here contemplating a harsh and uncertain future. It would be they’re spiritual journey to be marooned in the Skellig monastery. Those monks were known as the Irregulars, and they watched as the ocean bed is churned up making the water a sandy green.” – Rod Coyne.

Rod Coyne’s painting “Irregular’s Vision” is a dissolving image of the Skelligs behind Atlantic waves heaving over rocks. Coyne’s painting would make the perfect addition to any home or office for art collectors and maritime fans alike. It is signed on the front and carries a date and inscription by the artist on the reverse.
