Fog Clearing, Finan’s Bay by Rod Coyne

“There’s a place where the waves crash, the tide heaves and the weather rolls in off the Atlantic Ocean. That’s where you’ll find me with an easel lashed to the shoreline. The ocean bed is churned up mixing sandy ochres through the blue sea. There’s contrasting type of sanctuary offered by the Cill Rialaig artists retreat, where I was based when creating this piece. It shields me the daily domestic routines, while immersing me to the wilds of mother nature.” – Rod Coyne.
